» BASiCS longevity; approx. twenty years characteristics; acumen are known for their intelligence. an acumen with a good pedigree should exhibit a quick wit, good strategic skill, the ability to persuade and coax others, or all of the above. acumen are usually either as sinister as the enmity themselves, as power hungry, or completely distant from the world. these acumen regard themselves as higher beings, and usually look down on those who are not acumen themselves. the ego of an acumen is a large, highly inflatable thing, and it is uncommon to find one with low self-esteem. » BODY STRUCTURE height; 14-16 hh build; unlike the enmity, the acumen are streamline. they have long, angular faces with thin, arcing necks. their chests are short, their shoulders are long, and their backs have less curve than the enmity, and are usually longer. they have sloping hindquarters, and some of the acumen have been documented to have high tails. they should have long, powerful legs, built for running and maneuvering around obstacles. they should have an intelligent appearance, and are usually very well-kept. similar to; thoroughbred, hanoverian, warmblood coloration; basecoat colors for the acumen can be almost anything. various shades of grays, browns, and blacks have all been reported. markings; the acumen have a very limited array of markings compared to the enmity. their most popular are leg markings such as stockings, socks, and coronets. face markings are limited to snips, stripes, stars and blazes. however, the acumen have a higher variety of coloration. acumen can exhibit roaning, dapples, fleabitten or bloody markings, appaloosa and various mixed colors (such as paints, sabianos, splashes, etc.)
» HABiTAT climate; the acumen are well-rounded, and can adapt fairly well to their environments. they dislike extreme heat and extreme cold, but can tolerate temperature ranges as long as they are mild. preferred living; the acumen prefer sloped landscapes, as they are more complex than the plains the enmity like. they are often found on mountain ranges, or in hilly or woodsy terrain. however, those who have large groups of enmity often tone down their homes to make them more suitable for their slaves. an enmity breeder, however, might purposely live in a valley to prevent escape of wayward slaves. grouping; acumen are notorious for gangs. usually, it is a single acumen who leads a large group of enmity. sometimes an occasional acumen will dot that gang, usually with a higher ranking position. acumen enjoy nothing more than fighting one another in their constant power struggle, and can sometimes be aggressive toward other acumen. unions; not all acumen are entirely blood thirsty, however. those who seek power often bite the bullet and take residence with other acumen. while this is a breeding ground for fighting, as the acumen who tend to live in their unions more often than not believe themselves to be better than everyone else. the acumen have a slightly stronger sense of loyalty than the enmity, and they expect more from those around them.
